I felt it looked bad with just bruces face so I draw the outline of the cowl too and removed the pupils

I actually just recently found out my birthday (30th of March) is also the same day that Batman was first introduced to the public (not the May date that you usually see) so I think you can say we're made for each other.

Also yeah it was my birthday yesterday, thanks for all your lovely messages!!

I know a few ppl are expecting me to do a lot of digital portraits but let me just say that I don't plan to do one each time I make a post - they're very time consuming and I don't focus on things like proportions/posing

but that said I will still be doing them whenever I feel like it, which could be quite often depending on how much better I get each time I do one!!

I had my graduation ceremony the other day... I got the "most outstanding student" award for graphic design, which unfortunately wasn't much of an achievement because there were only 5 students graduating this year hahaha

My birthday is a week, I hope to do nothing and that no one bothers me the whole day hahah

haven't really been drawing, feel real rusty

or maybe its cos my hands are numb cos it's getting cold again

Since my last post I watched:

Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt (co-created by Tina Fey) in its entirety... it's charming and smart, yet it deals with race quite poorly which makes it so much worse than if it were in something bad.

There are also bits of humour meant for children, though maybe that's intentional. Maybe it's meant to be a show for kids?

I'm not that familiar with Tina Feys writing but honestly this show doesn't seem to take it's audience seriously at times.

Louie - S1 and halfway through S2

This is a show that is brutally honest and ordinary and earnest.

It doesn't tell a story through the normal 3 act structure, rather it tells a 2 or 3 different stories (usually).

But these stories being so brutally honest hit you hard, whether it be about dealing with being a single parent, fatherhood, relationships, sex, loneliness, suicide. It's not a traditional sitcom. It has bits of humour but it's not about being funny but rather about the complications of life. I'm actually not sure whether I love it or just like it. It's so grounded in reality that it's at times "boring" for lack of a better word. But it's so profound and poignant at times that I can't help but be drawn to it.

just a couple sketches, though the second one is using my first sketch as a base

my first was just a random doodle 

and my second is my witchsona that I started last year (if you remember haha) yet i never finished, albeit it has changed quite a bit

Everyone has really elaborate and flamboyant character designs but my character design efforts are mostly sleek and casual haha but i guess that has something to do with the fact i like characters to wear stuff that you could wear everyday

anyway there's nothing else to say
